Pocketstop FAQ

Pocketstop™ is extremely easy to use, but here are some FAQs to help answer some of the questions you may have.

  • How do I get started? - All you have to do is create an account. Once you’ve created an account, you are ready to run a Pocket Marketing™ campaign. Within minutes, content is uploaded, a keyword is created and you are collecting cell phone numbers and distributing content. Then, set the campaign on auto-pilot by automatically pushing content at scheduled intervals.
  • How do I get people to register? - Once registered, you will receive a keyword that you can use to register people to use your service. A keyword such as “Join Bobs”, will register people for your pizza restaurant. You can then advertise your keyword in-store near the register, on your website or on sacks and pizza boxes. You can even mention your keyword in any print, radio or television spot. It’s the perfect companion to beef up your traditional marketing programs.
  • What happens at the point of sale? - To redeem an offer, a user will present their cell phone at the point of sale. Each offer contains a tracking code that you can either record or ignore. The sales person will then enter the offer into the register by pressing the correct key.
  • Who should use Pocket Marketing? – Any company that currently uses email to market their product, service or entertainment should run a Pocket Marketing campaign. Since email is all about timing and usually goes unread, you need a service that puts your offer directly into the pocket of your target customer. Since people carry their cell phone with them at all times, it’s the perfect service to generate or throttle business.
  • Does Pocketstop provide any reports? – Yes, our service shows all inbound text messaging requests. We also show redemptions per cell phone number. In the future, we will provide mobile page click-thru metrics.
  • Can I use graphics in my Pocket Marketing campaign? - Yes, you can and it’s even encouraged. Pocketstop uses gif images that are perfect for mobile due to their size. Every Offer contains space for a 16-by-16 icon image, a 130-by-20 banner image and an offer image.
  • What redemption rates can I expect from Pocket Marketing? - The typical redemption rate is 20% although we’ve seen higher and lower rates of redemption. The redemption rate has a direct correlation to the type of offer being presented to the end-user. Please see the MOOYAH case study for an example redemption rate for a typical campaign. As you can imagine, a free drink offer at a nightclub might have an 80% redemption rate. One thing is certain; Pocket Marketing has a higher redemption rate than traditional direct marketing.
  • What wireless carriers does Pocketstop support? - For a complete list of wireless carriers, please click here (wireless carriers). We are adding new carriers each month, so check back often.
