Based in Dallas, TX, Pocketstop™ is a full-service Pocket Marketing™ (Mobile Marketing) company focused on delivering content, information, coupons and exclusive event access to the third screen / mobile device. Using a Crawl, Walk, Run approach, Pocketstop works with clients to build a mobile strategy and associated identity using various technologies such as text messaging, mobile websites & mobile applications.
Since 2004, the company has been using wireless technology as a marketing medium; starting with their first concept called cityphone and culminating in Pocketstop. Today, the company provides a wide range of mobile services for many clients in various industries across the United States.
Pocketstop’s platform allows merchant, brands & agencies to create, manage and distribute their own mobile content while the companies services provide access to a team of seasoned individuals who can assist with Program Development, Creative Services, Campaign Management and Custom Development.
In 2007, the company started a philanthropic side to the business which allows NPOs and charities to take donations using cell phones and mobile devices. The service is called Mobile Giving and Pocketstop is one of a handful of companies across the nation engaged in this activity.
While Mobile Marketing has evolved over the years, Pocketstop has been able to keep up with the pace of technological advancements through strategic partnerships. In fact, the company is working with researchers at the University of Texas at Arlington to develop an integration model for Point of Sale systems. Once complete, the model will fulfill the original vision of Pocketstop, which is to influence people to STOP and check their POCKET before they make a purchase.
